Sports/Deep Tissue Massage Therapy

The involvement of Deep Tissue Massage helps our patients, by treating soft tissue and muscular symptoms that they may have, prescribing rehabilitation exercises and using a range of techniques to improve function and reduce muscle tightness.

Paul graduated in 2011 from McTimoney Chiropractic College and is the Clinic Principal and owner of North Downs Chiropractic Health Centre. His long journey to Chiropractic started in the mid 1990’s after being converted to the treatment technique after suffering injuries being a 400m runner and keen athlete.

From feeling the positive and what he felt almost “amazing” effects chiropractic had on his injuries and overall health, Paul’s thirst for knowledge and learning began. This initially began in 1998 with his interest in muscular injuries, fascial and deep tissue massage gaining his diploma in Sports Therapy, then in 2007 studying for 5 years for his Masters Degree in Chiropractic at McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxford. Since graduating Paul has followed up his principal Chiropractic training, with training in Sacro Occipital Technique and Thompson Drop technique. He also uses some deep tissue massage as an adjunct to Chiropractic where appropriate.

As well as working in clinic, regularly attends seminars with a passion for gaining more knowledge to help treat his patients.

He feels so fortunate to be in profession that he loves and surrounded by a team with a philosophy to make patients feel comfortable and welcome from the moment they visit the clinic.

Natalie’s journey into soft tissue therapy began with a personal curiosity — a desire to understand her own pain and learn practical ways to manage it. That curiosity developed into a passion for discovering how the body works and how skilled hands-on techniques can help others move freely and feel their best.

After a long and rewarding career in further education, in 2023 Natalie decided to make a shift and retrain in soft tissue therapy. She went on to achieve her Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications in Sports Massage Therapy, building a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and advanced treatment techniques. This change allowed her to combine her love of learning with her wish to help people in a more direct and meaningful way. Natalie believes that sports massage isn’t just for athletes — it’s for anyone who wants to move comfortably, reduce tension, and support their overall wellbeing. She enjoys meeting new people, understanding their individual needs, and tailoring each session to support their goals, whether that’s recovery, mobility, or relaxation.

Always keen to expand her skills, Natalie has also gained her qualification in dry needling to add to her therapeutic toolkit, giving her another effective way to release tension and promote healing.

Her approach is grounded in knowledge, empathy, and a genuine desire to help every client feel stronger, looser, and more at ease in their own body.

Outside of her therapy work, Natalie enjoys staying active through outdoor swimming and paddleboarding, spending time by the coast, and exploring the outdoors with her dog.

Natalie will be available in Clinic Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings.
